Twitch is one of the best ways to monetize your channel, especially if you’re streaming games that people want to play. Donation systems allow viewers to give money directly to broadcasters, and this money adds up over time! Today I’m going to show you how to set up Twitch donations on your channel using StreamLabs, one of the most popular donation platforms.
Part 1: Setting up a StreamLabs account
The first thing you need to do is set up a StreamLabs account. This can be done on their website or through the StreamLabs app. Once you have an account, you’ll need to connect it to your Twitch channel.
To do this, open up the StreamLabs app and click on the “Settings” button. Then select “Twitch” from the menu on the left. You’ll be asked to log in to your Twitch account. Once you’ve logged in, you’ll be taken back to the Settings page. You should now see your Twitch account listed under “connected accounts.”
Now that you’ve connected your account, it’s time to set up your donation system!
Part 2: Setting up your donation goal
The next step is to set up your donation goal. This is the amount of money you want to raise in total. To do this, open up the StreamLabs app and go to the “Goals” section.
You may have noticed a suggested donation goal set by StreamLabs, but you can delete this if you don’t want it.
Once your goal is set up, click Save at the bottom of the page. Congratulations! You’ve now created your first donation goal!
Part 3: Adding a donation widget to your Twitch page
Now that your donation goal is set up, you’ll need to add the donation widget to your Twitch page. To do this, open up the StreamLabs app and go to the ” Widgets” section.
You’ll see a list of all the widgets for your channel. To add the donation widget, drag it from the menu on the left to somewhere on your Twitch page. You can move it around later if you’d like. Once you’ve moved the widget where you want it, click save at the bottom of the page.
Part 4: Setting up a donation goal alert
Open the StreamLabs app and go to the “Alert Box” section. Here you’ll see a list of all the alerts displayed on your stream. To add a donation goal alert, drag it from the menu on the left to somewhere near the top of your Twitch page. You may need to resize it later.
Once you’ve moved the alert where you want it, click save at the bottom of the page. You’re now ready to start accepting donations on your Twitch channel!
